Local Talent Commits as Miles and Lines Re-Sign for Coventry

Coventry Rugby are delighted to confirm that local products Tom Miles and Keston Lines have both re-signed with the club for the 2026/27 season.

Coventry Rugby are delighted to confirm that local products Tom Miles and Keston Lines have both re-signed with the club for the 2026/27 season.

Having joined the senior squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, both players will continue their development at the Nick Newbold Stadium as Coventry retain two exciting homegrown talents.

Loosehead prop Keston Lines enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season, making 20 appearances in blue and white. The Coventry-born forward quickly established himself as a dependable member of the squad, earning plaudits for his physicality, work rate and commitment every time he pulled on the Coventry shirt.

Head Coach Alex Rae believes the best is still to come from the young forward.

“Keston is a Cov kid and that has really stood out – how much he cares about playing for his home city. He’s tough, gets on with things and is improving all the time. His best rugby is ahead of him and we’re delighted he’s committed again.”

Lines is equally proud to continue representing his hometown club.

Keston Lines said:

“Loved getting to run out for my city this year with a great group of lads. Excited to see how we kick on this season.”

Fellow local talent Tom Miles will also remain at Coventry after making five appearances during his first full season with the senior squad.

The scrum-half continued his development throughout the campaign, gaining valuable Champ experience while competing in a highly competitive position.

Alex Rae praised Miles' attitude and determination.

“Another local lad who comes in every day eager to get better and be a really positive person for the team. He didn't play as much as he'd have liked last season, but we feel very lucky to have three good scrum-halves all fighting for a spot and no doubt he'll push on again.”

Miles believes the club has been the perfect environment to continue his progression.

Tom Miles said:

“I’m delighted to have re-signed for Cov. I feel the club was massive for developing my game last year. The squad had a great atmosphere to be a part of and we’re building towards something special.”

The re-signing of both Lines and Miles continues Coventry Rugby's commitment to developing and retaining local talent, with two players who understand what it means to represent their home city set to continue their journeys in blue and white during the 2026/27 season.
