Coventry Rugby produced a stunning second-half display to claim a 43-15 win over Caldy at Paton Field, with winger Jack Reeves crossing for four tries in an emphatic bonus-point victory.
The Blue-and-Whites recovered from a five-point half-time deficit to score 33 unanswered points after the interval, extending their winning run and claiming the team’s sixth straight win.
Coventry made a positive start, with Reeves opening his account after ten minutes to give the visitors an early lead.
The winger was quickly back on the scoresheet, crossing for his second try in the 19th minute as Coventry looked to establish control of the contest.
Two ties through Hearn and Oliver, as well as a penalty and a conversion through Parkin saw the home side claim a 15-10 lead at the break.
Reeves completed his hat-trick just five minutes into the second-half, with Tom Matthews adding the conversion to put Coventry back in front.
The visitors immediately seized the momentum. Sam Maunder crossed in the 50th minute, with Matthews again adding the extras to extend the advantage.
Coventry were now playing with confidence and attacking intent, and further tries followed from Rhys Fulford in the 60th minute and Tom Bacon in the 65th.
Matthews converted both efforts, as the visitors continued to stretch Caldy's defence and build an increasingly commanding lead.
There was still time for Reeves to complete a remarkable individual performance, scoring his fourth try of the afternoon in the 72nd minute.
Matthews added his fourth successful conversion of the match to take Coventry beyond the 40-point mark.
Caldy had no answer to Coventry's second-half intensity and were unable to add to their first-half tally.
The final whistle confirmed an outstanding 43–15 away victory, with Coventry having scored 33 unanswered points in the second period.
The result represents another significant step forward for Alex Rae's side, who continue to build momentum in the Champ and demonstrate their ability to deliver results both home and away.
