The powerful front-row forward arrives at the Nick Newbold Stadium with experience across both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, as well as international age-grade honours with New Zealand and Samoa.

Standing at 6ft 3in and weighing 123kg, Asomua brings significant size and physicality to Coventry’s forward pack. The 28-year-old began his rugby journey at Wesley College in New Zealand before progressing through the country's representative pathway.

Asomua has represented New Zealand Under-20s and Samoa Under-20s during his career, while his professional experience includes spells with Counties Manukau Steelers in the NPC, Moana Pasifika in Super Rugby and French side Valence Romans Drôme Rugby.

His experience across different competitions and rugby environments makes him an exciting addition to Coventry's front row, with his physical presence and set-piece ability adding further strength to the squad.
