The versatile back joins the Blue and Whites after an impressive spell with Doncaster Knights and arrives at the Nick Newbold Stadium with significant Champ Rugby experience, having made 71 appearances and scored 35 tries during his career to date.

Capable of playing on the wing or at outside centre, McNab brings pace, power and attacking quality to Coventry’s back line, alongside international experience with Zimbabwe, where he has earned 22 caps and is currently involved with the squad preparing for next year’s Rugby World Cup.

Standing at 1.87m and weighing 99kg, the 27-year-old has built a reputation as a dangerous attacking player with the ability to beat defenders and create opportunities in open play.

McNab’s rugby journey began in Zimbabwe before moving to the UK, where he attended Falcon College and later studied at Hartpury University. During his time there, he represented the BUCS Hartpury side before progressing into Champ Rugby with Hartpury RFC. He then spent two years with Cornish Pirates prior to joining Doncaster Knights.

Head Coach Alex Rae is excited by what the new signing will add to the squad.

McNab is equally enthusiastic about the move and the opportunity ahead.

“Joining Coventry is a great opportunity for me. The club has clear ambition and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in with the group and hopefully sharing plenty of good moments with the players, staff and supporters next season.”

The addition of McNab further strengthens Coventry’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, adding proven Champ quality and international experience to an already exciting group.
