Coventry Rugby’s opponents for the quarter-finals of the inaugural Champ Rugby Play-offs have been confirmed, with Hartpury set to visit the Nick Newbold Stadium on Saturday 16 May (16:00 KO) in what promises to be a blockbuster knockout clash.
Following Coventry’s impressive performance against Worcester Warriors at the weekend, Alex Rae’s side secured a third-place finish in the regular season standings, earning a home tie in the last eight. Hartpury booked their place in the play-offs after defeating Cornish Pirates to confirm sixth position and set up a third meeting between the sides this campaign.
The teams have already served up two thrilling contests during the regular season. Hartpury edged a dramatic encounter 36-31 in Gloucestershire back in Round 6, before Coventry responded in style with a commanding 31-19 victory at the Nick Newbold Stadium in February.
With both sides having already shown they can hurt one another, the quarter-final promises to deliver another high-intensity showdown as Coventry look to continue their push for silverware in front of a home crowd.
Support from the Coventry faithful throughout the 2025/26 campaign has been nothing short of incredible, with the atmosphere at the Nick Newbold Stadium playing a huge role in the club’s success this season. Saturday’s quarter-final also represents the final opportunity for supporters to back the Blue-and-Whites on home soil this campaign, making it a fitting occasion for one final big match atmosphere.
Supporters are encouraged to secure their place early for what is expected to be a huge occasion in Coventry Rugby’s season. Tickets are available now, with supporters reminded that play-off fixtures are not included in season memberships.
Hospitality packages are also available in the Tutors and Exams Marquee, offering supporters the chance to enjoy the occasion in style.
