Coventry Rugby is delighted to announce that Jordon Poole has re-signed with the club for the 2026/27 season.
The influential hooker will continue his journey with the Blue & White after initially joining the club in 2022, playing a key role in the squad’s continued progress both on and off the pitch.
Since his arrival, Poole has established himself as a consistent and dynamic presence in the forward pack, combining physicality with leadership and setting standards week in, week out throughout his time with the club. As club captain, his impact extends beyond matchdays, helping to drive standards and culture within the squad.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Poole said:
“I’m grateful to have re-signed with the club for next season. Since I signed back in 2022, the club has made strides on and off the pitch, and next season will be no different. Big things ahead.”
Head Coach Alex Rae was equally pleased to retain one of his key leaders:
“It’s fantastic to have Jordon with us again. In my opinion, he’s the best hooker in the league and leads by example week in, week out. More importantly, he’s a tremendous person who cares deeply about the club and is hungry to make memories with this group.”
Poole’s re-signing is the first to be announced as the club begins to build towards the 2026/27 season, with further squad updates to follow in due course.
