Coventry Rugby are delighted to confirm that loosehead prop Aristot Benz-Salomon has re-signed with the club for the 2026/27 season, while his twin brother Jonny Benz-Salomon will join the Blue and Whites ahead of the new campaign.
The announcement sees the Benz-Salomon twins reunited at the Nick Newbold Stadium, providing another major boost to Alex Rae's squad as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season.
Aristot has become an important figure within the Coventry squad since arriving at the start of the 2025/26 campaign. The dynamic loosehead has made 27 appearances and scored two tries during his first season at the club, earning praise for both his performances on the field and his influence within the group.
Known for his energy, athleticism and powerful carrying, Aristot has developed into a key member of Coventry's front row and will now continue his journey in blue and white.
Head Coach Alex Rae believes there is even more to come from the talented loosehead.
“Totti has been brilliant since day one. He’s got a really infectious way about him and the energy he brings to the group is awesome.
“His game has gone to another level and I'm pretty confident he will be one of the standout looseheads in the league if he applies himself the same way again.”
Aristot Benz-Salomon:
“I’m really excited to continue my journey at Cov. I’m excited to keep growing as a player and to keep playing in front of our fans.”
Joining him at Coventry next season will be his twin brother Jonny, who arrives with an impressive rugby CV and significant experience across both the Premiership and Champ Rugby.
The 25-year-old tighthead prop stands at 5ft 10in and weighs 119kg. His rugby journey has seen him progress through Quest Academy and Whitgift School before developing at Hartpury University and Hartpury RFC.
Jonny's performances earned opportunities with both Bristol Bears and Gloucester Rugby, where he accumulated 25 senior appearances across Premiership and Premiership Cup competitions. He also made 58 appearances for Hartpury RFC before making the move to Coventry.
A powerful scrummager with an excellent work ethic and strong set-piece foundations, Jonny arrives at the club eager to continue his development under Coventry's coaching team.
“Firstly, I’d like to thank God for the opportunity. I’m really excited to be joining Coventry Rugby. They have top coaches who will help me develop even more and also a great dressing room.
“Seeing how they did last year, I’m excited to go there and bring impact to the team in my areas of the game and hopefully go one step closer!”
Alex Rae believes Jonny has all the attributes to thrive at Coventry.
“It’s great to bring Jonny in. He’s a player we’ve really liked and think under Bodes we can take him to the next level.
“He’s got a great skillset and work ethic for a tighthead, and his set-piece work has been going well this season. It’s also great to make it a family affair again!”
The retention of Aristot alongside the arrival of Jonny strengthens Coventry's front-row options ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, while reuniting the Benz-Salomon twins in blue and white for the season ahead.
