Coventry Rugby are pleased to confirm that Api Bavadra has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The exciting back has committed to a further season at the Nick Newbold Stadium, continuing his development in blue and white after making a strong impression both on and off the field.

Bavadra has quickly become a popular figure within the squad, combining flair and athleticism with a positive presence around the group. Still early in his 15s journey, the talented playmaker is widely regarded as one of the most intriguing prospects in the squad, with significant potential yet to be unlocked.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Bavadra expressed his enthusiasm about extending his stay with the club.

“I’m grateful to be given an opportunity to stay at Coventry for another season,” he said. “This is just the beginning of what I can show in the game of 15s, and I am excited for what’s to come with this team.”

Head Coach Alex Rae also welcomed the news, highlighting both the player’s impact and the belief the coaching staff have in his continued progression.

“Delighted to have Api with us again,” Rae commented. “He’s been a great character around the group and a hugely exciting player. There’s a lot more to come from him and he can do things not many players can, so we’re lucky to have him with us.”

Bavadra’s re-signing adds further momentum to Coventry’s preparations for the 2026/27 season, as the club continues to build a dynamic and competitive squad capable of pushing forward in the Champ.
