August promises to be an exciting month for Coventry Rugby Academy, with a packed schedule of fixtures providing outstanding opportunities for our U17, U18 and U23 players to test themselves against high-quality opposition and continue their development both at home and abroad.

The Academy has already enjoyed valuable competitive action this month, with Coventry U18s hosting fixtures against Ealing and Leinster Rugby at the Nick Newbold Stadium. These matches provided an excellent opportunity for the next generation of Blue & White talent to compete against two highly regarded rugby programmes and gain invaluable experience in a challenging environment.

The month continues with a landmark occasion as the Academy embarks on its first-ever tour to Ireland, with both Coventry U17s and U18s taking on Munster Rugby at Garryowen FC on Saturday 8th August. The fixtures will be the first time Coventry Rugby Academy has faced Munster, making it a significant milestone in the Academy’s continued development and an invaluable experience for our young players as they test themselves against one of Europe’s leading rugby environments.

Tours such as these are only possible thanks to the generosity of our partners, and we would like to send a massive thank you to ATD Coventry and the Coventry Rugby Supporters Club, whose support has made this exciting opportunity possible. Their backing allows our players to challenge themselves against some of Europe’s strongest academy systems and create memories that will last a lifetime.

The action then returns to the Nick Newbold Stadium on Saturday 15th August for a festival of Academy rugby.

The day gets underway at 11:00am as Coventry U18s face Ampthill U18s, before our U17s take on Welsh opposition in RGC U17s at 1:00pm. The afternoon concludes with Coventry U18s returning to the field against RGC U18s at 3:00pm, giving supporters the chance to watch the Academy in action throughout the day.

RGC provide another valuable test for Coventry’s young players, offering further exposure to different playing styles and a strong Welsh rugby environment as part of the Academy’s continued development.

The month concludes with Coventry Rugby U23s welcoming Ampthill U23s to the Nick Newbold Stadium on Friday 21st August, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00pm.

The fixture represents another important stage in the Coventry Rugby pathway, providing a platform for Academy graduates and emerging senior players to continue their progression in a competitive environment. It is an opportunity for supporters to see some of the club’s brightest young talents taking the next step towards senior rugby.

All home Academy fixtures are free to attend, with no ticket required, and supporters are encouraged to come along and back the next generation of Blue & White talent.
