Coventry Rugby are delighted to confirm that Senitiki Nayalo and Onisivoro Sukani Nayagi have both re-signed with the club for the 2026/27 season.

The duo will continue their unique journey of representing both Coventry Rugby and the British Army, further strengthening a long-standing partnership that continues to benefit both organisations. Built on shared values of commitment, discipline and teamwork, the relationship between Coventry Rugby and the Army Rugby Union has helped develop outstanding rugby players while supporting servicemen in balancing elite sport with military careers.

A Coventry stalwart, Senitiki Nayalo enters his seventh season with the club after making 123 appearances and scoring 43 tries since his arrival. His explosive ball carrying, relentless work ethic and leadership have made him one of the club's most influential players in recent years and a firm favourite with the Coventry supporters.

Joining him once again is fellow Fijian and British Army serviceman Onisivoro Sukani Nayagi, who made an immediate impact during his first season at the Nick Newbold Stadium. The dynamic outside back featured 17 times and scored two tries, impressing with his athleticism, power and willingness to learn as he adapted to Champ Rugby.

Away from the pitch, both players continue to proudly serve their country. Nayalo serves as a Lance Bombardier with 7 PARA RHA, while Nayagi is a Lance Corporal in the Infantry. Both are also prominent representatives of the Army Rugby Union, demonstrating the exceptional standard of rugby within the Armed Forces and highlighting the strength of the partnership between Coventry Rugby and the British Army.

Reflecting on his new deal, Nayalo spoke of the pride he feels representing both the club and the Army.

"It's been an honour and a privilege to represent the Army and Coventry Rugby so far. Coventry has become like a second home to me and my family. The support from the fans always amazes me and is the reason I love being here. The city and the club's history is something I am extremely proud to represent. Thank you Coventry and see you next season."

Nayagi was equally excited to continue his journey in blue and white.

"My first season at Coventry was amazing. The support from the coaches, fans and players has helped me develop my game massively. Like Tiki, representing the Army and the club is something I feel passionately about, and thank you to both for their support on my journey so far. To my family, thank you for everything and Coventry, I can't wait to be back with you all in 2026."

Head Coach Alex Rae praised both players and the partnership with the British Army.

On Nayagi, Rae said:

"It's great to have Oni on board again. He was a breath of fresh air last year and has a brilliant hunger to improve and work hard every day. We saw huge progress across the season, and that will continue. He's also a fantastic person who's great to be around. We have a great relationship with the Army and hope that continues."

Speaking about Nayalo, Rae added:

"In my time here, Senitiki has been a really big player for us and no doubt that will continue. His commitment and energy for the team and others is infectious and we feel very lucky to have him. Again, we thank the Army for working with us and making it possible."

The re-signing of Nayalo and Nayagi is another significant boost for Coventry Rugby ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. As well as retaining two outstanding players, it also celebrates the club's enduring partnership with the British Army - a relationship that continues to produce exceptional people on and off the field, and one both Coventry Rugby and the Army Rugby Union can be immensely proud of.
