Coventry Rugby has announced its squad for the upcoming fixture away to London Scottish on Friday 17th February, in a vital 2022/23 Championship Cup match.
Following last week’s important victory at home against Bedford Blues, Alex Rae has made a few changes to a squad with a similar spine to that of a week ago.
In the front row Toby Trinder returns to the starting line-up, and is accompanied by Suva Ma’asi and academy graduate, Jake Bridges.
Rhys Thomas makes a welcomed return to the team and will line up alongside the ever-trusty James Tyas in a strong second row pairing.
Adam Peters remains on the flank, with Josh Bainbridge on the opposite side of the scrum. Senitiki Nayalo completes an almost identical back row to that of last week’s wearing the number 8 shirt.
Will Lane starts alongside Evan Mitchell once more in an exciting halfback pairing that delivered back-to-back cup wins in the last fortnight, whilst Lucas Titherington partners Will Wand, who returns to the starting XV, in the midfield.
The starting line-up is rounded out by a back three with an exciting mix of pace and power; as James Martin and Shea Cornish occupy the wings with Louis James shifting to fullback.
Will Biggs will be joined by Ollie Andrews and new Gloucester loanee, Henry Pearson, ready to add their strength and dynamism to the front row. George Smith and Tom Ball will be on hand to cover the second and back row respectively.
Joe Snow provides cover in the scrum half position, whilst Will Rigg and Ollie Betteridge will provide support across the rest of the back line.
