Coventry Rugby will open the 2021 Greene King IPA Championship campaign at home to Bedford Blues on the weekend of March 6/7.
This year’s Greene King IPA Championship has been truncated by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, meaning that this season each team will play each other just the once, rather than the usual twice.
The first and second place teams will then play each other home and away to decide who gets promoted to the Premiership as champions.
In addition to Bedford, Coventry Rugby will be hosting Ealing, Saracens, Cornish Pirates and Ampthill during the campaign, with visits to Richmond, Hartpury, Nottingham, Doncaster and Jersey Reds.
London Scottish felt unable to participate this season but will return in the 2021/22 season. As a result, there will be one bye week per team and three reserve weekends (3/4 April, 8/9 May and 5/6 June) during the season.
All of Coventry Rugby’s home matches this season will be live streamed via 247 media. Details on how to sign up to watch will be announced shortly.
