Match reaction: “I honestly thought we should have won”

Head coach Nick Walshe gave his reaction to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire’s Richard Moon immediately after the match.

“It was gutting,” he said. “We asked for a reaction after last week when the attitude was poor, and we pushed Irish all the way. The frustrating thing is I honestly thought we should have won.

“We pushed the all the way – there were just some key little moments – including a couple of dodgy decisions at the end when we were close to their line and on a roll.”
