Coventry Rugby is pleased to announce that our strong relationship with CTT Group will continue into the 2024/25 season. CTT Group has been a part of the club for the last seven seasons, and this renewal is a testament to the support they have offered both on and off the field. Coventry Rugby is excited about what this sponsorship will bring for the upcoming season, along with CTT’s invaluable support.
Based in a stunning Edwardian Manor, Gables House, on the outskirts of Leamington Spa, CTT is a rapidly expanding group that provides multi-disciplinary support and digital innovations for the UK’s professional adviser community, including estate planners, financial advisers, solicitors, and accountants.
CTT Group’s eighth season with the club sees them become one of the main club sponsors, with their logo prominently displayed on both the shirt and shorts of the playing kit.
Bob Massey, Director and Co-Founder of CTT Group has made his own mark by playing on the Coventry Rugby pitch for four seasons, with the legendary Sir Clive Woodward apparently calling him the ‘hardest tackler’ he’s ever come across.
“Firstly congratulations to Simon and Food Heroes for taking over the mantle of the club’s main Partner.
Whilst I was press-ganged into this 7 or 8 years ago, by an old mate Red Brown. As an ex-Coventry player, I‘ve been proud, along with my business partner Clive Ponder at Countrywide, now CTT group, to represent and support the club in its new home.
Whilst my affinity was to Coundon Road, it’s been great to see the club and more importantly the team develop into a really competitive unit here at the Butts. This may not be at the dizzy heights of the club’s past just yet, but the club putting itself forward for promotion to the Premiership this year is a sign of great ambition and one more giant step showing how committed the team, the staff are, and of course, our supporters have been relentless over the last 12 years that I’ve been a sponsor.
With people like Simon and The Food Heroes stepping in and supporting the club with a real financial commitment, support that is very welcome, plus of course our old friend Jon Sharp steering the club and the ground’s development with a dedicated staff, I wouldn’t bet against the club taking that extra step and once again joining the rugby elite in the near future. One more step towards the club and supporters’ real ambition.
It’s a great place to be, among proper rugby people and a great place to bring clients and colleagues, to enjoy the experience of match day at The Butts.
C’mon Cov, we’re not going anywhere, well except up. We’ll still be chipping in financially and vocally to support this great new team. ”
It was also thanks to rugby that Bob met his business partner, Clive Ponder, with whom he started the CTT Group business in 2003. Their passion for sport and leadership is also echoed by Andrew Houston, who joined CTT in 2019, and like Bob and Clive, pursued amateur and professional rugby in his youth.
All three are familiar faces at Butts Park Arena on matchdays, supporting the team passionately alongside many of their colleagues.
Matt Cannon, General Manager of Coventry Rugby, is delighted with the renewal:
“We are thrilled that Bob, Andrew, and the team at CTT have renewed their sponsorship with the club. CTT has been a pivotal part of the club’s success over many seasons, and we are looking forward to working with them again this season. Featuring on the home and away shirts, shorts, and with their match sponsorship packages, their support is hugely appreciated.”
