Director of rugby Rowland Winter told BBC C&W’s Richard Moon:

“It was a great opportunity for the club to showcase everything we’re about on a special night.

“It was also a good opportunity for lots of young players that wouldn’t have played at this level before.

“They’re out on loan playing at National One and Two clubs, they’ve waited for an opportunity to put on a Coventry shirt and tonight they’ve done themselves very proud.”
