Looking ahead to the Family Fun Day, Coventry Rugby’s head of community Wes Blair said she expects those present will find plenty to enjoy while also getting easy access to support in important areas should they need it.

“Everything we focus on as a community team is about encouraging family involvement in sport and healthy behaviour,” she said, “and this fun day is very much in line with that ethos.

“In addition, we regularly hear how difficult it can be for families to access wider support in important areas such as employment, health and wellbeing so we’ve tried to help with that by bringing as many relevant support services to the BPA as possible.”

This event comes hot on the heels of the Coventry Rugby Community Team’s annual Project 500 summer camp initiative. With the help of sponsor Charter Savings Bank and the support of local supermarket Morrisons this provides activities and meals for disadvantaged children across Coventry and Warwickshire.
