What We’re About
The Academy enables ambitious Rugby players to develop their careers with Coventry Rugby whilst fulfilling their academic potential studying in Post 16 select – the joint Sixth Form provision offered by Barrs Hill, President Kennedy and Stoke Park.
This academy is unique to our local area – open to students wishing to study A-level or Level 3 Vocational courses.

The Offer
Your time will be split between Coventry Rugby Club and the classroom. You’ll benefit from outstanding teaching from Post 16 Select, no matter the subject you choose. Alongside your studies, you’ll engage in weekly training sessions, including strength and conditioning, analysis, recovery and competitive fixtures during Year One of the programme.

The coaching and support on offer is designed and led by former Scotland fly-half Gordon Ross, Coventry Rugby’s Head of Academy Pathway and Talent Development.
Your weekly rugby training and development sessions will take place at Coventry Rugby’s profesional stadium and you will have access to first team facilities including the gym and wider player support services.
Fantastic academic support from Post 16 Select staff to ensure fantastic educational outcomes are achieved. For the last three years, over 90% of Post 16 Select students have progressed to university, including Oxbridge, those in the Russell Group and other world leading institutions.
