2021/22 Under-23s open trials

Coventry Rugby is planning for the new season and giving opportunities to the area’s most talented young players. We know that for every player who receives a Premiership Academy full-time contract there are plenty more who have the ability to have a successful professional career, and who will be motivated to achieve their goals.

The Coventry Rugby Under-23 Development programme is aimed to do just that. Players within the programme will train alongside the club’s senior squad, with their week also including time set aside for employment and/or education. Post-18 education will be available directly through the club.

The Under-23s will play a number of matches during the season, with players having individualised development plans which may include dual registrations with National League clubs.

Coventry Rugby will be holding open trials on the following dates: April 15th, 22nd and 29th.

These trials will include time watching the senior squad train, followed by a presentation and then time spend with strength and conditioners, skills and a rugby session. The sessions will begin at 1:00pm and last until 3:30pm.

Players who pass this initial assessment will be invited to further all-day sessions on May 31st, June 1st and June 2nd.
